How much does Clio Work cost?
Clio Work uses per-user pricing. You can start with a free trial or book a demo for pricing matched to your firm’s size and the way you use Clio Work—on its own or connected to Clio Manage. Select “Try for free” or “Book a demo” to get started.
What’s included with Clio Work?
Clio Work is legal AI that reads your matters, finds the law, and drafts the work, with every answer cited to its source. You get matter-based research and reasoning, document and recording analysis, natural-language search, access to the Clio Library for legal research across over 1 billion documents, and first-pass drafts of summaries, timelines, and arguments. Plus, Clio Docket brings real-time court activity directly into your workspace, providing access to court filings and instant alerts the moment a docket changes.
Do I need Clio Manage to use Clio Work?
No. You can use Clio Work on its own by uploading documents directly, or connect Clio Manage to pull in your matters, contacts, and firm data automatically, then file completed work back to the right matter. If you want both together, see the Signature Work and Elite Work packages.
How accurate is Clio Work, and can I trust its research?
Clio Work is grounded in your own matters and in the Clio Library, over 1 billion legal documents from courts and publishers, not scraped from the web. Every result cites its source with a confidence score, and citations are checked through Cert, Clio’s citator, to confirm they’re still good law. You review and approve everything before it reaches a client or the court.
Does Clio Work use my firm’s data to train AI?
No. Clio Work runs inside Clio, so you can analyze documents and draft work without stripping data out to external AI tools. Your matters and client information stay private to your firm and are never used to train external AI models or for any other external purpose.
Is my client data secure and confidential in Clio Work?
Yes. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and your matters and client information stay private to your firm. While Clio Work uses third-party AI providers to process requests, it operates under strict zero-data-retention agreements, meaning your data is never stored or used by those providers to train external AI models. Clio is SOC 2 Type II certified and undergoes regular third-party audits.
What support does Clio Work include?
Every Clio Work plan includes live 24/5 support and training to help you get started. Signature Work and Elite Work also include worry-free data migration.
Can I cancel Clio Work anytime?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current term, whether monthly or annual.
