Summary:

We are currently looking for a Director, Corporate FP&A to join our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. This position reports to the VP, Finance. This role is available to candidates in Canada or the United States. 

Who you are:

  • An experienced and results-driven financial leader with 10+ years of experience (including 3+ years in a management role).

  • A strong understanding of SaaS business models and financial planning principles.

  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.

  • A passion for data-driven decision making and strategic analysis.

  • A CPA or CFA designation is a preferred qualification.

What your team does:

Our Financial Planning & Analysis team is focused on driving stakeholder and shareholder value by developing the operating and financial plans required to achieve our company goals. You will play a key role in developing financial plans, analyzing data, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making across the organization. This role will oversee the Corporate FP&A team and function. 

What You'll Do:

  • Strategic Financial Planning: Own the 5-year Long Range Plan, the Annual Budget, and rolling forecast for the company. Develop strategies that align financial goals with long-term corporate objectives and provide support for investor-facing narratives on performance.

  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Lead and enhance the company’s market share analysis, competitive benchmarking, and strategic positioning. Create a regular cadence to refine and mature these insights, guiding company direction in collaboration with executive stakeholders.

  • Investor Relations: Provide insights on financial performance for stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, executive team, and external investors. Support the production and presentation of financial results and deliverables for quarterly and annual reporting, among other IR responsibilities.

  • Executive Reporting & Business Rhythm: Establish business rhythms such as weekly executive reports, monthly budget approvals, and quarterly forecasts, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with company strategy.

  • Process Optimization & Controls: Implement scalable policies and processes that optimize financial reporting accuracy and timeliness. Develop and oversee internal controls to ensure compliance, especially in metrics tracking and external reporting.

  • Cross-functional Partnerships: Partner with key stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, Investor Relations, and Corporate Development to ensure that financial data aligns with operational needs and strategic objectives.

 

Serious bonus points if you:

  • Experience in a leadership role within FP&A.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey financial information to diverse stakeholders.

  • Experience in developing and maintaining financial models that have been used to support external financial audiences, such as potential investors or lenders.

The full salary range* for this role is $154,600 to $193,200 to $231,800 CAD..

In addition, this role is eligible for variable pay that is based on company performance, with actual payout amounts calculated and paid on a quarterly basis.

*We aim to hire all candidates between the minimum and the midpoint of the full salary range. We reserve the midpoint to the maximum of the salary band for internal employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on individual experience and skillset of the candidate. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
