Senior Marketing Operations Manager

We are currently seeking a Senior Marketing Operations Manager to join our Marketing Team in Toronto, Vancouver, or Calgary.
What your team does:
The Marketing Operations team is a center of operational excellence on Clio’s Marketing Team. It is a centralized function with responsibilities of campaign operations, database and segmentation management, reporting and insights, email marketing, go-to-market and lead funnel infrastructure, process engineering and tech stack management. We build best in class campaigns, processes, and automations that empower a high performing marketing team. This is an individual contributor role that reports into the Senior Manager, Marketing Operations and will collaborate closely with the RevOps, SalesOps, BizOps, and CSOps teams across the business to deliver cross-functional initiatives. This role will drive meaningful business impact through efficiencies, optimizations, and innovation.

Thriving in fast-paced environments, you excel at leveraging data to optimize critical marketing programs, including lead scoring, attribution, and lifecycle management. You are a proactive leader who takes full ownership of the end-to-end marketing operations process, consistently driving improvements that align teams with overarching business objectives. With extensive experience in platforms like Marketo and Salesforce, you lead cross-functional initiatives that enhance efficiency, deliver measurable results, and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and agility.
What you’ll work on:
Lead Frameworks, Routing, and Funnel Management
Own prospect and customer lead funnel operations
Develop and maintain lead scoring models and qualification criteria to ensure high-quality leads are prioritized and routed effectively to sales teams.
Build and manage lead routing rules, ensuring the right leads are sent to the appropriate sales reps or teams based on predefined criteria.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Customer Success, RevOps) to align on lead funnel stages, qualification criteria, and conversion benchmarks.
Create and manage reports that track lead funnel performance, pipeline progression, and conversion rates across stages to inform strategic decision-making.
Continuously analyze lead flow and implement improvements to optimize lead throughput, reduce bottlenecks, and maximize conversion rates.
Data, Insights, Reporting, and Optimization
Lead A/B tests and multivariate experiments across email campaigns, forms, and other key conversion points to continuously optimize performance.
Use data and analytics to measure campaign performance, track key metrics, and identify opportunities for optimization across the marketing funnel.
Collaborate with product and content teams to refine audience segmentation and targeting to ensure messaging and offers are aligned with the buyer's journey.
Work cross-functionally with Data Insights, RevOps, IT, and other teams to de-silo data, align on a single source of truth, build data pipelines and frameworks, and establish data governance practices to ensure accuracy and consistency across marketing systems.
Technology, Campaign Operations, Processes, and Automation
Own technology procurement and implementation for marketing
Take a lead role in designing, developing, and optimizing the MarTech stack, data infrastructure, processes, and automations for Clio’s global marketing team.
Leverage technical expertise to proactively identify and troubleshoot errors, optimize syncs, and monitor the overall performance of marketing systems to ensure smooth operations.
Stay on top of technology renewals and optimize spend while collaborating with marketing, systems, security, compliance, and finance to define technology procurement processes and evaluate new tools.
Translate business requirements into technical specs and propose innovative solutions.
Work collaboratively with RevOps and GTM teams to strategize and launch new products and infrastructure, and optimize cross-functional systems at a global scale.
Strategy, Planning, and Execution
Own the planning and strategy of our MarTech roadmap and align with RevOps and marketing leaders on strategic priorities and annual/quarterly plans.
Be the internal champion for trends, best practices, new tools, and innovation in your space.
Act as a role model and team lead for the MarOps team. Coach your fellow team members.
Help scope, define, and organize work for the MarOps team.
Enable the team to use new features, processes, and technologies by developing processes, training, and documentation.
Work with the rest of the MarOps team to support ongoing execution needs of the business, including but not limited to building nurtures, campaigns, webinars, events, emails, landing pages, etc.
Own strategic and foundational projects and support the Senior Marketing Operations Manager and MarOps team in their projects as needed.
What you bring:
10+ years proficient experience with marketing automation platforms (Marketo, Eloqua, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Hubspot)
10+ years proficient experience with a CRM (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Hubspot)
Proficient in data segmentation and reporting in BI tools and Excel
Flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
Knowledge of HTML and CSS
Strong communication and project management skills
Marketo Admin Certified
Salesforce Admin Certified
Serious bonus points if you have:
Direct experience at a high growth SaaS company
Expertise with a query languages (SQL)
A graduate degree in a relevant quantitative discipline

*We aim to hire all candidates between the minimum and the midpoint of the full salary range. We reserve the midpoint to the maximum of the salary band for internal employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on individual experience and skillset of the candidate. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
