Summary:

We are currently looking for  a Social Impact Program Manager to join our Social Impact Team in Canada. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Social Impact & DIBE.

Our Social Impact function - think Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and giving initiatives, volunteering, CSR, ESG - is a crucial component in actualizing Clio’s mission to transform the legal experience for all

We partner across the global organization to accelerate positive social impact through culture, strategy, policies, processes, and programs. We are advocates, change agents, diplomats and responsible stewards governing a) internal investments to improve diversity, inclusion, belonging, equity and accessibility in both our digital and physical workplaces as well as our product and customer experience and b) external giving of our profit, product, and people time across three primary social pillars: Access to Justice, Mental Wellbeing of Lawyers, and Diverse Talent in Technology.

Who you are

You can work with people at all levels from junior to executive and you are able to meet people where they are.
You are an experienced program/project  leader eager to develop and run hands-on programs. You are biased toward action and known for your ability to act swiftly and with integrity.

As the Program Manager for Social Impact, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing DEI and Giving related programs that cater to a large and diverse employee base. You love bringing grounded strategies to life and are energized by execution.

What you’ll work on:

The primary duties of this role will be to partner with and support our Senior Manager, Social Impact & DIBE on cross-functional initiatives of high impact to the company. This could include:

DIBE Program Management

  • Lead program management for complex  Social Impact cross-functional projects. You will work closely with functional leaders across the business to develop project plans that align to Clio’s strategic vision and Social Impact goals 

  • Track a variety of moving project pieces; such as tasks, meeting action items, decisions, budgetary issues, and risks

  • Draft and maintain project documents and project tracking tools (such as Asana) 

  • Prepare weekly project status reports and escalate risks and gaps as required

  • Contribute towards the creation of program management and change management playbooks

  • Manage, and develop the growth of ERGs at Clio:

    • Engage with DIBE leaders

    • Support member enrollment

    • Increase roll-out of additional ERGs

  • Execute on Clio’s 1%/1%/1% giving playbook and programming, including strategic partnerships, giving, scholarships, etc. (with a focus on Clio Gives Profit and People Time)

  • Partner on Annual DIBE Awareness Communication Strategy and plan in partnership with Internal and External stakeholders

  • Sustain and evolve systems and processes that build capacity (such as project management via Asana, process giving transactions, Track and report participation in programming, volunteering, conference sponsorship attendance coordination etc.)

  • Partner with various stakeholders  on the program management (Asana) and communication of data collection and regular storytelling of the Voluntary Self-Identification Project

Social Impact & DIBE Strategy Development

  • Act as a trusted SME across the business; 

  • Coach Employee Resource Groups (ERG’s) as a trusted advisor and champion of the DIBE mandate

  • Facilitate and execute on education and activation experiences such as DIBE Discussions and learning, Anti-Racism, Indigenous Inclusion, Accessibility etc.
     

Partnerships

  • Support other areas of the organization that seek to implement diversity programs and offerings, such as supplier diversity, additional employee benefits, and a cultural recognition calendar

Change Management Work

  • Support ERGs through implementation and evolution of Clio’s ERG playbook

  • Partner on the change management and communication plan of data collection and regular storytelling of the Voluntary Self-Identification Project:

    • Employee Communication & Buy in

    • Continued adoption (increase in self-identification) through transparency

    • Data Analysis and communication

    • Programmatic creation supporting DIBE initiatives (equity programs)

What you bring

  • Comprehensive and proven knowledge and experience of project/program management principles and methodologies and ability to coach team members on these skills.

  • Strategic yet tactical thinking. You have the ability to take ideas, ground them in strategy, balance them against company-wide implications, and design effective programs.

  • Degree in diversity studies, corporate social responsibility, psychology, sociology, business administration, and/or organizational behavior; over 3 years experience in leading diversity, inclusion & equity programming and initiatives, or an equivalent combination of education, training and development. (Worked in DEI in some capacity is a must)

  • Advanced skills in change management and consultation; serving as a change agent, influencing change in a fast growing company within the tech industry.

  • Outstanding listening, collaboration and team building skills that facilitate coordination and cooperation with the demonstrated ability to lead with both courage and humility.

  • Demonstrated ability to form, develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across all levels

  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with a variety of audiences internally and externally to the organization.

The full salary range* for this role is $99,400 to $117,000 to $134,600 CAD.Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.

*We aim to hire all candidates between the minimum and the midpoint of the full salary range. We reserve the midpoint to the maximum of the salary band for internal employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on individual experience and skillset of the candidate. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
