Clio’s Series F funding
In July 2024, we announced the largest transaction ever in cloud legal technology by raising US $900 million, based on a US $3 billion valuation, in a Series F investment round.
This Series F investment round was led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and included participation from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Sixth Street Growth, CapitalG, and Tidemark.

Biggest ClioCon ever
Our annual Clio Cloud Conference was bigger in Texas! Hosted in vibrant Austin, ClioCon 2024 welcomed a record-breaking 2,500 in-person attendees and 1,500 virtual participants from around the world.
Attendees had the chance to collaborate directly with Clio team members in our product labs and explore sessions covering topics like artificial intelligence, billing innovations, cybersecurity advancements, and more—along with an in-depth look at the Legal Trends Report with Clio’s Lawyer-in-Residence, Joshua Lenon.
ClioCon’s 2024 keynote presentations were delivered by Clio Founder and CEO Jack Newton (which included a live demo of Clio’s AI-powered solution, Clio Duo), Judge Victoria Pratt, Nita Farahany, and James Clear, who all offered powerful and thought-provoking perspectives, covering topics like delivering justice with respect, protecting cognitive freedom, and developing habits for continuous growth.

Legal Trends Report
Our latest Legal Trends Report offers the legal industry’s most comprehensive analysis of the current state of legal practice. It delivers vital insights into key challenges and opportunities shaping the profession, including the rise of AI, the evolution of pricing models, strategies for optimizing client intake, and how law firms are investing in growth.
Here are just a few of our key findings from this year’s report:
- 79% of surveyed legal professionals are now using AI in some capacity in their practice
- 74% of billable work that’s billed by the hour could be automated by generative AI.
- Firms now bill 34% more cases and charge 20% higher rates on a flat-fee basis compared to 2016.
- 71% of clients prefer flat fees for entire cases, while 51% favor flat fees for specific case activities.
